TERREQUIPE MAKES ITS MARK IN TRUCK MARKET

Specialists in sales and service for Terex® rigid and articulated haul trucks

ROCKHAMPTON, AUSTRALIA, July 4, 2013 – As a wholly owned subsidiary of New Zealand-based Transdiesel, Terrequipe Pty Ltd is an authorised Queensland distributor for Terex® construction equipment, Dressta earthmoving machinery and Agip oil and filters.

With branch offices in Brisbane and Rockhampton, Terrequipe employs over 20 qualified staff members, as well as extending services into regional areas via use of established service agents acting on behalf of Terrequipe.

Terrequipe General Manager, Greg Landsberg said, “Our company mission is to provide a cost-effective alternative to mainstream equipment suppliers, providing world-class equipment and professional support for the market. Our strategy of providing personal service from start to finish has enabled us to build relationships with our clients that ensure our growth and capabilities.”

Greg’s background in the mining industry spans over 17 years. Greg said, “I had been managing International Machinery Services (IMS), the Queensland distributor for Dressta, for five years when it was purchased by Terrequipe in April 2010. As soon as Terrequipe took over IMS, they introduced the Terex construction distributorship.

“Terrequipe is now the national distributor for all Terex trucks Australia-wide. The mining industry constitutes the largest Terex market at this stage with the articulated 40 ton TA400 the most popular tool of choice.

“We were very encouraged by the market’s acceptance of the Terex TA400 Generation 9 series articulated trucks. The new Scania engine has been a big boost to the trucks' performance. This coupled with the robust Allison transmission makes the machine an excellent product at a very competitive price. This is the big advantage of Terex – paying for the quality, not just the name.

“Initially, our target market was small to medium sized peripheral contractors in the mining industry, but in many instances we are now selling direct to mines. We have found most of our success has been with the larger miners who have the ability to invest in equipment.

"Our key strength lies in very flexible service and support. Being small, flexible and adaptive has given us a great reputation for meeting a wide range of customer needs. At Terrequipe we are constantly trying to improve our service and support offerings to make us a serious player in this business.”

Terex articulated trucks are sold and serviced throughout Australia by Terrequipe Pty Ltd. For more information, call 1 800 204 221 or visit www.terrequipe.com.au
