More than 12 years of earth-moving solutions from Terex® Compact Track loaders

GYMPIE, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, March 2014 – Gympie-based contractor Wildman Earthworks has provided earthmoving and excavation services in the local area for almost 20 years.

Specialising in council work — such as road repairs, vegetation management, park maintenance, leveling bitumen — the range of services offered by Wildman Earthworks is vast. To always deliver the best possible service to his customers, the company relies on Terex® equipment.

“I’ve been on the Terex Posi-Track loaders for a good 12 years; we don’t use any other type of machine when it comes to loaders.” Tony Wildman explains. “We now have two PT-60’s, one PT-50, and a range of attachments – power rakes, post hole borer, leveling board, slashers and industrial brushcutters.”

A quick and powerful rubber tracked loader, the Terex PT-60 consistently outperforms other machines in its class with its high engine torque, unrivalled traction and nimble speed.

“The height clearance is a big plus for me, and the wide distance between the tracks and the body means no debris gets caught or clogged.” Tony continues. “We carefully researched other models and for track clearance, the Terex Posi-Track loader was by far the best.”

With low-ground pressure and exceptional floatation, the Terex compact track loaders with Posi-Track™ suspension technology are ideal for operating on wet or sensitive surfaces. “We carry out a lot of work in parks occupied by the public, and you don’t want to leave big marks that take a long time to grow over,” Tony says.

The wide rubber tracks and the configuration of the suspension minimises any ground damage.”

But for operator Kevin Honour, driver comfort is the key ingredient that makes the Terex Posi-Track loader the only choice. “I’ve been operating loaders for a long time; it is the only machine in which I can spend a full eight hours,” Kevin explains. “The wide tracks support the machine much better, meaning much less wear on the tracks and a smoother ride for the operator.”

As Kevin concluded, “Terex looks after the driver as well as the machine; anything else is a compromise.”
