TEREX CRANES DELIVERS TWO RT 100 ROUGH TERRAIN CRANES

TO INTEGRATED LOGISTICS, KUWAIT

Zweibrücken, April 19th, 2011 – Terex Cranes has delivered two Terex® RT 100 rough terrain cranes to Integrated Logistics Co. KCSC in Kuwait. Both cranes will be commissioned for maintenance tasks in the petro-chemical and gas refinery sector.

Both cranes were delivered in standard configuration that included an air conditioned cab, multiple steering modes and 29.5R25 tires. The machines will share a 15-meter main boom extension. Additional rigging included an 80 tonne, 5 sheave hook block and 5 tonne hook ball.

In addition to their rugged terrainability and strong lifting capacities, these two new units will provide several benefits for Integrated Logistics Co. “Being able to share a single main boom extension for both machines was a cost-effective solution that our company appreciated,” says Mr. Saleh Al Huwaidi, CEO, Integrated Logistics Co. “Also, offering higher capacity than other cranes of similar size, the RT 100 is an ideal solution for the wide range of pick and carry jobs that we require in our business sector. The ability to maneuver safely in areas where other cranes cannot go is a strong advantage for our customers.”

About the Terex® RT 100

As the only CE marked rough terrain crane in the 90 tonne class, the Terex® RT 100 rough terrain crane combines a long boom, high lift capacity and compact design to easily handle a wide range of heavy jobs, even in confined areas.

Providing outstanding lifting capacity, the RT 100 offers a maximum capacity of 90 metric tonnes (100 US tons). Its six-section boom can be extended up to a maximum length of 53 meters (174 feet), with a maximum tip height of 55.8 meters (183 feet). Two synchronized telescoping modes provide added functionality.

The crane’s powerful engine delivers 194 kW @ 2200 rpm and is in full compliance with European directive 2006/24 Step 3b. Power steering easily controls the unit and can be switched to any one of three steering modes - two wheels, four wheel or crab steering.

A 100 US ton RT 100 version that is rated per ASME B30.5 standard is also available.
