FIVE TEREX® TFC 45 REACH STACKERS ORDERED AT INTERMODAL BRAZIL
Sao Paolo, Brazil, May 16, 2011 – Terex Cranes received orders for five of its best-selling TFC 45 Reach Stackers following its participation in the Intermodal tradeshow from 4th to 7th April, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
One of the company’s most popular models, the TFC 45 5-high reach stacker is designed for handling containers rapidly and reliably and offers a maximum lifting capacity of 45 tonnes in the first row and 27 tonnes in the second row.
Terex Cranes exhibited in partnership with Equiport, the company’s port equipment distributor in Brazil. The strong commitment of Terex to further develop its port equipment business throughout Latin America was met with enthusiasm by customers who showed strong interest not only in the TFC 45 but also other lighter-weight reach stacker, empty container handler and side loader products.
“Terex Cranes’ comprehensive port equipment portfolio serves almost every container handling need. Our TFC 45 reach stacker has a strong reputation for robust reliability among our Latin American customers, as demonstrated by their confidence with orders for a further five machines this month in Sao Paulo,” says Thomas Ostermann, Vice President & Managing Director, Terex Cranes. “The responsive expert support provided by our distributors on a local basis throughout Latin America is also something that our customers value highly.”
Terex Cranes has been a key player in the South American market for many years. The success of the TFC46M Reach Stacker is a good example of the company’s ability to adapt to its Brazilian customers’ specific needs with products that work for them, or as in this particular case, reach higher. Designed for increased performance and productivity, the Terex® TFC46M lifts full, high-cube containers up to 6-high on the first row, and 6-high ISO containers on the second row.
Terex® port equipment is represented throughout Latin America by 13 specialized distributors in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and Uruguay.
With over 16 years experience, Equiport has gained strong experience in the port equipment sector in the Brazilian market. Offering dedicated customer service provided by highly trained after-sales teams and an available stock of 2000 original spare parts, Equiport has recently complemented its Port Equipment portfolio with Terex® Empty Container Handler and Forklift machines.
In partnership with Equiport, Terex Cranes has sold more than 350 reach stackers to over 70 customers in 14 ports throughout Brazil. More information on Equiport can be found at www.equiport.com.br
