Terex supports local, community-based organizations that recognize and meet the needs of the communities where our employees live, work and volunteer. Programs and organizations we support include, among others: hands-on programs to increase workforce readiness, programs to promote the empowerment and advancement of women in the workplace, research in the areas of safety design and ergonomics, and programs to conserve/preserve natural resources, such as parklands and waterways. Team member Rowland Hudd from Terex Material Handling in Australia is a member of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service – part of a group of volunteer fire fighters that help combat and control brush fires within communities of New South Wales.

All Terex facilities in China have selected a day to give back to the community in various ways, including volunteering at social welfare centers and schools and helping to clean a scenic area near the Xiuyuan River.
|Terex® Gottwald Mobile Harbor Crane Supports Typhoon Relief |
When the City of Tacloban was devastated by Typhoon Haiyan, Terex Port Solutions and its Manila-based customer, International Container Services Inc (ICTSI), diverted a crane that had been scheduled for delivery elsewhere directly to the City of Tacloban to aid in the city’s relief effort.
|Terex Cranes Helps With Community Project |
A Terex team used a Terex® Challenger 3160 all terrain crane to lift an approximately 300-kilogram roof onto a barbecue pavilion that had been waiting for a year to be put together outside the St. Kilian Catholic daycare center. Terex team members willingly volunteered their free time for the weekend project, while the Terex Cranes Zweibrücken site donated the needed services of the crane for the lift.

After Emilia-Romagna, a region of Northern Italy, was hit by earthquakes, the Terex Lentigione site donated a mobile office to the shelter at the Reggiolo Village Camp. The fully-equipped office featured a fully-wired electrical system, as well as office and communications equipment.

Genie team members from our European Distribution Centre (EDC) sponsored their first “Genie Run for Muscles” event at the Singelloop in Breda, The Netherlands. In addition to a 5K and 10K run, the event also included a “Cake Day” to help collect money and raise awareness for those affected by Chronic Muscular Diseases.
|Powerscreen Helps Local College Launch Crushing and Screening Training Center |
Powerscreen team members were pleased to join in the official launch of a new Crushing and Screening Training Center at the local South West College. The Powerscreen team served as advisors and contributors to the new training venue, which will help engineers prepare for the skills to help drive the industry forward. The center will facilitate the development of maintenance skills for the sector, facilitate the development of design skills for the sector and provide an environment for customized company training.

Team members from Terex Corporation’s headquarters based in Westport, CT, donated 55 full and overflowing food baskets and 215 toys to the Family & Children’s Agency, located in nearby Norwalk, Connecticut.

The Terex Cranes team in Waverly, IA, donated their paint services to support their customer’s “pink crane” to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Terex women at the site also showed their support not only for this great cause but for one of their own team members who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Team members from Terex Grand Rapids spent two days leveling, landscaping, spreading black dirt, laying sod and planting grass seed in preparation for a receiving family to move into their new Itasca County Habitat for Humanity home.

|Terex Construction Americas Fundraiser Supports Children’s Hospital |
More than 60 Terex Construction America (TCA) team members and their families participated in a “fishing rodeo”, which raised $2,300 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee. The Terex donation will help this world-renown treatment and research hospital to provide care, housing transportation and meals for families seeking care at St. Jude, and will fund groundbreaking research for the care and treatment of childhood cancers and other deadly diseases.

As part of leadership meeting, 78 Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) executives from around the world helped build bicycles for local children in need as identified by the Starlight Foundation, a Redmond based organization that assists children and their families who have been diagnosed with serious illnesses.
