Strong Brands with Widely Branching Roots

The roots of the Terex Corporation reach back to the year 1933. Since then, the firm has grown continuously – not least through numerous acquisitions. With these purchases, many different brands (legacy brands), each well-known in their respective markets, have continuously enriched the Company's product portfolio.

Terex first became involved in the harbor business about 20 years ago, when it acquired the French firm Potain Poclain Matériel (PPM). Then, in 2009, Terex aquired the Italian manufacturer Fantuzzi, also active in the harbor sector with its brands Fantuzzi, Reggiane and Noell – brands which the Terex Corporation has since replaced by the product brand Terex® and integrated into its existing Terex Port Equipment business.

In June 2012, the Terex Port Equipment and Gottwald Port Technology businesses were combined to form Terex Port Solutions - a leading supplier of cargo handling solutions under the Terex® and Terex® Gottwald brand names.

Terex Port Solutions continues the rich tradition and heritage of its legacy brands by focusing on innovative technologies and providing holistic solutions to meet customers' needs in the port and terminal industry.
