SS Series
Stationary Silos
Terex® Stationary Silo modular designs allow you to specify storage facilities to fit your unique environment and application. In-line or circular configurations with up to six silos make it easy and economical to add silos to adapt storage facilities to specific production requirements and site limitations.
Features:
- Wear-resistant steel floor plate: floor-plate warranties available ranging upward from 500,000 tons
- Strong conveyor body: allows replacement floor plate to be skip-welded over the old
- Abrasion-resistant steel-side wear plates: line the full inside length of the conveyor
- Hot oil pipes and insulation along the full length of the conveyor bottom: ensures even heat distribution across
conveyor floor - Wide stairway with handrails on each side of the conveyor: for safe inspection and preventive maintenance
- Marine plywood access covers: for ease of handling
- Curved one-piece wear-resistant boot: self-cleaning, eliminates nightly clean-out
- Heavy-duty roller chain: induction-hardened rollers and pins and heat-treated sidebars minimize chain wear
and maintenance - Drag-slats: mounted with break-away bolts to help protect the chain from damage should a slat become jammed
- 1/2" thick slats: provide long service life and can be readily removed and replaced when installing a new chain
- Hydraulically adjusted head shaft: maintains chain tension index on each side, simplifies adjustment and keeps head
shaft parallel with the tail shaft - Tri-segmented conveyor head sprocket: split hub simplifies replacement. Tail sprocket is split for ease of replacement
- Bottom chain idlers and top idler mount on sliding bearings: act as shock absorbers to give return chain maximum support and service life
