CBI®, recently hosted its first Timberstock event from Oct 9 to 11, 2024. Held across Portsmouth and Newton, NH, this inaugural gathering brought together industry leaders, forestry professionals, and customers for an in-person showcase of the latest advancements in wood processing technology. The event not only highlighted CBI’s newest machinery but also fostered collaboration with attendees on the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the heavy-duty forestry equipment sector.
Debuting the 5900T Horizontal Grinder and ChipMax 364T Chipper
Attendees at Timberstock were introduced to the 5900T horizontal grinder, a machine combining the best features of CBI’s renowned 6800 and 5800 models. With its industry-first 60-inch infeed and rotor, the 5900T handles wider material and boosts material flow compared to previous models. This powerful machine, featuring a 755hp engine with a hydraulic clutch, is optimized for high-capacity forestry work. A redesigned dolly system and 8’6” legal transport width allows for streamlined mobility and efficiency, making it ideal for projects requiring frequent relocation.
The ChipMax 364T chipper also made its debut, created with insights from forestry professionals to deliver productivity, versatility, and durability. Available with either a 765hp or 550hp engine, the 364T chipper operates with exceptional efficiency, lowering total cost of ownership. The machine’s 36-inch drum rotor, staggered knife design, and refined chute geometry provide precision chipping and efficient trailer packing. With options for different chip sizes, including a chip accelerator, the 364T adapts to market demands, offering maintenance-friendly features such as a ground-level greasing panel and bolt-in pockets for quick configuration changes.
Highlighting CBI Classics while Welcoming Terex Ecotec and Green-Tec Partners
In addition to the debut machines, CBI showcased the classic 7544 ChipMax as well as the 6800CT grinder with a Cummins engine—a first for this model. The XP log screw was also on display, consistently impressing attendees with its powerful splitting capabilities.
Terex Ecotec joined CBI with an impressive lineup of their own, featuring the TDS 815 slow speed shredder, Phoenix 2100 trommel, TSS 390 slow speed shredder, and the TWH 236 material handler. Green-Tec was also in attendance, showcasing the CT8 chipper and TH3 tree care handler, providing even more options for chip production and material handling.
Together, CBI, Terex Ecotec, and Green-Tec offered a comprehensive display of industry-leading technology in shredding, screening, chipping, and material handling, cementing Timberstock as a premier event for forestry profession "I am incredibly proud of our team for their hard work and dedication in bringing Timberstock 2024 to life,” said Nathaniel
