Zweibruecken, September 22nd, 2011 – Terex Cranes will be exhibiting two boom truck cranes on Booth N° L 316 at the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition 2011 (ICUEE), to be held from 4th – 6th October at the Kentucky Exhibition Center, Louisville, Kentucky.

The company’s presence will be highlighted by the unveiling of the new Terex® Crossover 4500, a 45-US ton (41-tonne) capacity class boom truck, as well as the Terex® Crossover 6000 that was launched at ConExpo earlier this year.

Providing superior lifting performance compared to other large truck cranes of its capacity class, the new Terex® Crossover 4500 offers innovative features and benefits that combine low cost of operation with unsurpassed quality and value.

Also known as the Demo Expo, ICUEE is the premier international exposition for hands-on demonstrations of construction and utility equipment. Featuring the newest industry products and innovations, the event will host over 950 exhibitors and more than 20,000 attendees. It features a comprehensive education program and broad range of indoor and outdoor machinery exhibited in job-like conditions.

About the New Terex ® Crossover 4500

Well-matched to an extremely broad field of applications, the new Terex Crossover 4500 boom truck provides excellent performance to outlift other large 45-US ton (41-tonne) boom trucks by more than 10%, with an overall design offering a 360° main boom load chart. Featuring a 105-ft (32 m), four-section boom with optional 39 to 49ft (11.9 to 14.9 m) lattice jib extensions, this new model lifts up to 45 US tons (40.8 tonnes) at a 9-foot (2.7 m) radius. Maximum main boom tip height is 110 foot (33.5 m) for a maximum sheave height of 155 foot (47.2 m) with 49-foot (14.9 m) jib. Thanks to the company’s rugged X-pattern outrigger design, center of gravity is repositioned to reduce stress on the chassis for increased longevity. Maximum precision and ease of operation is enhanced through a joystick controlling hoist, swing and boom elevation, a pedal operating swing brake and boom telescoping, and hand and pedal controls for engine rpm management. A rated capacity limiter with pictograph display and settable alarms offers simple work area definition.

About the Terex ® Crossover 6000

Easily configurable for road transport in all 50 states, the Terex Crossover 6000 boom truck offers a 110 ft (33.5 m) maximum boom length and 170 ft (51.6 m) maximum system length. Providing excellent lifting performance across all configurations at all lifting radii, the Terex Crossover 6000 boom truck provides efficient, reliable service for long hours on the jobsite. Its maximum lifting capacity is 60 US tons (54 tonnes).
