Franna Opens Its Doors to Celebrate 40 Years with Family Days Across Australia

At the Franna facility in Eagle Farm, Queensland, more than 200 guests joined the celebration. Families enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at the business through guided tours of Engineering, Production, Service, and Spare Parts operations, while learning more about the people and processes that keep Franna moving forward.

A highlight of the day was a special presentation from General Manager Danny Black, who shared the history of Franna's 40-year journey and answered questions from attendees. Team members and their families also enjoyed crane rides, live Franna demonstrations, interactive activities, and a range of family-friendly entertainment. Children were kept busy with jumping castles, colouring stations, and giant lawn games, while all enjoyed food, refreshments, and the ever-popular ice cream truck.

Team members from Production, Service, Parts and Engineering generously volunteered their time throughout the event to ensure a safe, engaging, and memorable experience for all.

Celebrations Across the Country

The spirit of celebration extended beyond Queensland. In Western Australia, around 50 family members attended a locally organised Family Day. Guests enjoyed crane simulator activities led by Thomas from CICA, giving participants a chance to experience crane operations and rigging challenges in a fun and interactive environment. A pizza truck, bouncy castle, and children's activities helped create a relaxed and enjoyable evening for all.

Meanwhile, the Dandenong team in Victoria welcomed family members for an afternoon of crane rides and workshop tours before continuing the celebrations over dinner at a local restaurant.

A Family Day to Remember

For many families, the memories created on the day have lasted long after the celebrations ended. Mathew Swain. Team Leader on the AT40 Production Line at Eagle Farm recently shared how much the event meant to his daughter, Astrid, who was so proud of her Family Day experience that she wore her Franna cap to kindergarten and gave a show-and-tell presentation about the cranes she had seen.
