Franna marked Clean Up Australia Day 2026 by taking part in the nationwide environmental initiative, with a dedicated team of volunteers coming together to clean up a large green space in Brisbane on Sunday 1 March, 2026.
For the past 35 years, Clean Up Australia Day has been an integral event for the Australian community, encouraging local action to protect and care for shared public spaces.
The Franna team focused their efforts on the parklands of Kelvin Grove Village, a highly visited area that serves as a central bus transit hub, a popular restaurant precinct and sits in close proximity to Queensland University of Technology. Local residents had raised concerns about a growing litter problem across the community outdoor area. Recognising the importance of addressing this issue, the Franna Eagle Farm team promptly registered to become the official Clean Up Australia Day group for the site.
The team gathered in the parklands with the clean-up kits supplied by Clean Up Australia Org, and diligently sorted all the recyclables and disposable litter that could be found in the area. The team found it to be a pleasant day to be outside in the green space, earning the satisfaction of making a difference in the town we call home, earning a well-deserved sit-down coffee break afterwards at Coco’s Cozy Café.
Huge thanks to the Franna team members who participated in Clean Up Australia Day, displaying the Terex Way Value of Citizenship and team spirit that continue to underpin another successful community event.
