Franna Strengthens Middle East Presence with Regional Sales Appointment

July 09, 2026

Franna®, a global leader in pick and carry cranes, is strengthening its presence in the Middle East as part of its ongoing international growth strategy with the appointment of Vinay Kittur as Regional Sales Manager. Building on its strong position in Australia and growing success in India, the brand is investing in regional expertise to support customers and distributors while increasing awareness of the unique benefits of Franna crane technology across the region's construction, infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors.

"The Middle East represents an important growth market for Franna and forms a key part of our long-term international strategy," said Jaideep Shekhar, Vice President & Managing Director, Terex Materials Processing. "Our ambition is to bring the same levels of product quality and support that have underpinned our success in Australia and India to customers around the world. The appointment of Vinay will help us strengthen relationships with customers and distributors while accelerating awareness of the unique benefits that Franna cranes can deliver."

Vinay Kittur brings more than 16 years of experience across the industrial equipment, lifting solutions and material handling sectors throughout the Middle East and Africa. Over the course of his career, he has developed expertise in regional sales leadership, distribution development and strategic business growth, helping manufacturers expand their presence and strengthen customer relationships across multiple markets.

In his new role, Vinay will be responsible for developing Franna's presence across the Middle East. A key area of focus will be educating customers on the unique capabilities of Franna pick and carry cranes. While the Franna name has become synonymous with the pick and carry crane concept in Australia, the technology remains relatively underutilised in many international markets.

Franna pick and carry cranes can replace work traditionally carried out by smaller truck cranes, offering faster deployment by eliminating the need for outriggers and stabiliser legs. Designed to lift and transport loads within a confined work area, their articulated design provides excellent visibility while delivering productivity, manoeuvrability and efficiency benefits across a wide range of applications.

"I am excited to join Franna because this role gives me the opportunity to help change the way people think about lifting and cranes," said Kittur. "My focus will be on building the right distribution network across the region and working closely with them to increase awareness of the productivity, safety and efficiency benefits that Franna cranes can bring to customer operations."

He added: "My vision is to see Franna represented across every major sector in the region and to establish the brand as the first choice for pick and carry crane applications. These cranes offer a versatile and practical lifting solution, and I am confident that once customers experience their capabilities firsthand, they will recognise the significant value they can deliver, whether in oil and gas, mining, construction, assembly or steel erection applications."

Spanning more than 3,500 square metres, Franna's dedicated manufacturing facility in India supports both domestic demand and international export markets. Together with the expertise of the team behind it, it provides a strong foundation for Franna's continued international growth, enabling customers around the world to benefit from the same quality, reliability and support that have made the brand a market leader in Australia.
