Franna Team Infront of 100th Crane In Indonesia
Franna®, a global manufacturer of pick-and-carry cranes, proudly announces the delivery of its 100th crane in Indonesia, a MAC 25-4 model. This milestone reflects the brand’s growing presence in Southeast Asia and its commitment to supporting the region’s construction and mining industries.

The MAC 25-4 is a mobile articulated crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tonnes (27 USt). It is designed for pick-and-carry operations and is widely used in applications that require mobility and versatility. The model has been proven in a variety of lifting environments over many years and remains a preferred choice for tasks that involve moving loads efficiently without the need for outriggers.

The landmark unit was purchased by PT Vector Utama Indonesia, a leading player in steel fabrication and on-site construction. This delivery marks the third Franna crane in Vector’s fleet, maintained and serviced by Cranserco, the authorised distributor for Franna pick-and-carry cranes in Indonesia. To mark the occasion, a scale model of the crane was presented to Vector by representatives from Cranserco and Franna during the handover.

Vector relies on Franna cranes for a range of tasks across its workshop and construction sites, from moving heavy components around work areas to assisting with structural assembly and supporting tandem lifts alongside mobile cranes. The MAC 25-4 is particularly useful for loading and unloading counterweights, holding sections during pre-assembly, and adjusting structural elements such as conveyor trusses before the final lift. Its ability to travel on standard roads in Indonesia adds flexibility, making it well-suited to both mining and construction environments.

Matt Peeler, President Director of PT Vector Utama Indonesia, said: “Franna cranes have become an essential part of our operations. Their mobility and lifting capability allow us to handle complex tasks efficiently, from moving heavy components to supporting structural assembly and tandem lifts. The versatility they offer makes a real difference on our projects.”

What sets Franna apart is its true pick-and-carry capability, offering an infinite working radius, which is a unique advantage in the global crane market. Unlike cranes that rely on outriggers and are limited in mobility, Franna cranes allow operators to drive directly to the load and transport it to the drop-off point without needing to set up or reposition. This means the crane is always working at a shorter radius, where its lifting capacity is naturally higher. As a result, a smaller-capacity Franna crane can often do the same job that would otherwise require a larger, more expensive crane, because it can stay close to the load throughout the lift and carry process.

Zaqi Azizi, Sales Manager at PT Berlian Cranserco Indonesia, added: “The delivery of this unit marks an important step towards a greater and stronger relationship with PT Vector Utama. With its high performance, the Franna pick-and-carry crane will serve Vector projects very well. Rest assured, our parts and service support is in place to provide peace of mind throughout its service life.”

Franna commands over 50% of the total mobile crane market in its domestic market in Australia and is focused on bringing this advantage to Southeast Asia, where mining, construction, and infrastructure projects demand lifting solutions that combine mobility, safety, and adaptability. Franna cranes excel in environments where traditional cranes with outriggers may be impractical, offering the ability to lift and transport loads simultaneously. Their advanced safety systems, high road speeds, and articulated steering make them ideal for congested sites and rugged terrain.

Aidan O’Neill, Regional Sales Manager, Southeast Asia, commented: “This milestone highlights the strength of our relationship with Cranserco and the trust customers like Vector place in Franna cranes. We’re committed to supporting Indonesia’s growing infrastructure needs with safe, versatile, and reliable solutions.”
