On Sunday, 21 September, Franna proudly participated in a heartwarming community initiative as part of the Sony Foundation Children’s Holiday Camp Programme, hosted at Marist College, Brisbane. This national respite programme empowers high school and university students to care for children with disability, giving their families a much-needed weekend off.

This year’s camp brought together 17 campers and over 80 students and staff from Marist College, including student companions, mentors, nurses, and support staff. As part of the weekend’s activities, a vehicle show was held to delight the campers, and it certainly delivered!
Among the impressive lineup of emergency and service vehicles, including fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, army vehicles, and SES rescue boats, campers were especially thrilled to explore a Franna AT22 pick and carry crane, proudly displayed by the Franna team. The children enjoyed climbing into the vehicles, testing out flashing lights, loudspeakers, and even participating in a “loudest horn” competition.

Representing Franna at the event were Danny Black, Christine Richeux, Peter Morton, Jared Eastall, Declan Dolan, and Gabriela Pereira, who showcased a brand-new AT22 belonging to Monadelphous - a leading Australian engineering group providing construction, maintenance and industrial services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. The Franna team thanks Monadelphous for their generous support and shared commitment to community engagement.
