The classroom portion of the Digger Derrick Edge and the Edge final exam requires up to 12 hours to complete. To successfully pass the Edge final exam, the candidate must score a minimum of 85%. Following the exam, the instructor will go over the exam, answering questions and reinforcing the material with the students. The NCCCO written exam will then be administered during the afternoon of the second day.

Once the written portion of the NCCCO exam is complete, the candidates will spend the remainder of the afternoon getting familiar with the Digger Derrick used for the examination. Digger Derrick practical exams usually start the morning of the 3rd day of training. 7 to 8 candidates can be evaluated during a full day of testing.

More information on the Digger Derrick Practical Exam and Written Exam is available here.
