Following Terex Corporation’s release of its second quarter 2018 results, Terex Cranes is pleased to share these, along with its segment-specific results.

The Minnesota Highway 24 Bridge crossing the Mississippi River at Clearwater may not seem special at the surface. It serves a mere average daily vehicle count of just over 16,000 and dissects two towns that barely share a population of more than 2,000 people.

“Five months of continuous back-breaking work without any down time,” Nabors Drilling Manager David Siljeg succinctly puts it while summarizing how well the Terex RT 90 rough terrain crane performed at his work site in Abqaiq, in Saudi Arabia. The crane lifted numerous components for drilling rigs, generators, and a power distribution and control center at the oil field while enduring the challenging environmental conditions at the desert site.

At the beginning of 2017, when Polish crane rental company Corleonis was tasked with erecting a roughly 150-meter-tall cooling tower for the large-scale Bogatynia power plant in southwestern Poland on behalf of construction company Budimex, there was one question on everyone’s mind: Which crane could tackle the job most efficiently?

The quality of Terex tower cranes is clearly highly valued in Asia, as evidenced by the fact that Singapore-based tower crane rental company and Terex tower cranes distributor Crane World Asia (CWA) recently ordered 31 Terex® CTL 260-18 luffing jib tower cranes all at once, as well as 3 Terex CDK 100-16 luffing jib derrick cranes. Another batch of 9 Terex CTL 630B-32, and 1 CTL 650F-45 luffing jib tower cranes will reach South Korea later this year.

Business is going great for Terex Cranes in Italy, and a look at the most recent sales figures confirms this: Italian distributor Tecno-Gru SRL ordered 24 rough terrain cranes in December 2017, and then continued its buying spree in January 2018 by adding another ten rough terrain cranes.

Russian Terex Cranes distributor, Kwintmadi has placed an order for four new Terex® Quadstar 1075 rough terrain cranes, nine Terex Quadstar 1075L rough terrain cranes, six Demag® AC 100-4 all terrain cranes, one Demag AC 160-5 all terrain crane and three Demag AC 250-5 all terrain crane. The bulk of Kwintmadi’s order will be made available for customers.

Saudi Arabian crane rental company, Arabian Consolidated Trading (ACT Crane & Heavy Equipment), is expanding its crane fleet through a recent order for four Demag® AC 160-5, two AC 300-6 all terrain cranes and four Terex® RT 90 rough terrain cranes.

Custom Truck One Source is expanding its new crane inventory in Kansas City, Kansas, with an order for five new Terex® BT 4792 boom trucks, five Terex Crossover 8000 boom trucks and four Terex HC 80 lattice boom crawler cranes.

Iowa’s crane distributor, RTL Equipment, Inc., is expanding its inventory with the addition of new Demag® AC 220-5 and AC 250-6 all terrain cranes, a pair of Terex® T 340-1 telescopic truck cranes, and a pair of Terex HC 110-1 crawler cranes.

One of Italy’s largest crane service providers, Vernazza Autogru has recently placed an order for two Terex® RT 90 rough terrain cranes.

Mammoet’s purpose is to help its clients improve construction efficiency and optimize the uptime of their plants and installations, which is why the company has placed an order for 10 Demag® all terrain cranes including an AC 500-8 crane, three Terex® MAC 25-4 pick & carry cranes and a Demag CC 3800-1 crawler crane.

Terex Cranes announces Bill Cox as the new sales director for Terex Cranes North America. In his role, he will work with Terex Cranes’ senior management to set and drive equipment sales strategy throughout the United States and Canada, lead the Terex Cranes internal and field sales teams, and interact with Terex Cranes distributors and customers. He replaces Mark Phillippi, who will retire at the end of the year.

New construction projects always come with a set of challenges, but the site and lifting needs are usually straight forward enough that several different crane options fit the requirements. Building reconstruction, on the other hand, typically comes with its own unique challenges. Often, there are obstacles in the way that make selecting the right crane much more difficult, and bidding the right crane can be the difference between getting the job and moving on to the next opportunity.

France’s tower crane rental specialists LOGA is expanding its fleet with the addition of seven new Terex® CTT 132-6 flat top tower cranes. LOGA selected the newest flat top tower crane in the Terex product line because of its impressive load chart and working range. The CTT 132-6 performs a wider range of applications than competitive models, making it well-suited for rental.

Dutch tower crane rental and sales specialist Stravers Torenkranen (STK) is expanding its fleet with the addition of six new Terex® CTT 332-16, five new CTT 182-8 and 11 young-used CTT 231-12 flat top tower cranes. Company officials attribute its fleet expansion to growing demands in the Dutch and Belgian markets. The new Terex units will be joining a fleet that is growing to more than a hundred Terex flat top crane models.

Terex Cranes announces the return of Thomas Schramm to the Terex team as Vice President Sales and Product Support, EMEAR. In his role, he will drive the sales and product support strategy and lead team members in Europe and the Middle East (EMEAR) for the extensive line of Terex and Demag branded mobile and crawler crane models. Additionally, he will act as a Demag brand ambassador globally.

Terex Cranes proudly introduces the newest addition to its growing tower crane family, the Terex® CTT 472-20 flat top tower crane. This new Terex 20-tonne (22-U.S.-ton) class crane expands maximum jib length to 80 m (262.5 ft) and increases load charts over previous models offering the same lift capacity on the whole jib length, with a maximum load at the full length of the jib tip of 4 tonnes (4.4 U.S. tons).
