Terex Campsie Raises £1,000 for Multiple Sclerosis Society

Terex Campsie recently held a charity event to support colleague Ciaran Conway as he prepares for his climb up Mount Everest to raise money for the MS Society.

The MS Society is a charity dedicated to helping the over 130,000 people in the UK who suffer from multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is a neurological condition that affects the nerves and is caused by an immune system that is not functioning properly. The MS Society provides support and assistance to those affected by MS, and together campaigns to help to stop MS.

The Terex Campsie fundraising event, which was held on 24th March, featured a climbing wall (slightly shorter than Everest!) that came on site, and team members were put to the challenge to climb up to the top in the quickest time. The winner of the competition was awarded a 55’ TV. There was also a raffle with exciting prizes, including 500 litres of oil, a Fit Bit Versa 3, and Terex branded T-Shirt and jacket.

Thanks to the efforts of those who organised the event, and the generous donations from everyone who attended, the event raised a substantial total of £500. The Campsie team members also contributed an additional £500 that was raised at Christmas, bringing the grand total to £1,000.

The Terex Campsie team would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in the charity event and donated to this worthy cause. Your contribution will help the MS Society to continue its important work, supporting those impacted by MS.

Finally, a massive, good luck to Ciaran on his journey, stay safe!
