Employees at Finlay have raised more than £9,000 for three charities through a fundraising campaign involving colleagues from Northern Ireland and across the brand's international operations.
Named ‘The Finlay Charity Challenge 2026’, the campaign involved employees from Northern Ireland, Ireland, and the United States raising funds for Marie Curie, Children's Heartbeat Trust and The Little Princess Trust through a series of walking, running and hiking challenges.
The first stage was the Finlay 595 Charity Challenge, organised to mark the 30th anniversary of the Finlay 595 Heavy Duty Grid, a key model in the brand's screening range. Participants committed to walking or running 5.95 kilometres each day for five consecutive days, fitting their daily distances around work, family life, travel and holidays.
Activities took place across multiple countries including France and Belgium, with employees sharing updates and encouraging one another throughout the week. By the end of the challenge, participants had collectively covered more than 1,800 kilometres and raised over £6,000.
The fundraising effort culminated in the Knocklayde Challenge, where members of the Finlay team travelled to Ballycastle to take on a demanding 14-kilometre hike to the summit of Knocklayde Mountain and back.
Facing steep climbs, challenging terrain and more than 750 metres of elevation gain, participants completed the hike together, helping push the fundraising total beyond £9,000.
Matt Dickson, Business Line Director for Finlay, said, "Raising more than £9,000 is a fantastic result, but what made this challenge special was the level of participation and support shown throughout the campaign.
"Whether people were walking before work, running after work, completing their distance while travelling or tackling Knocklayde together, there was a real sense of purpose throughout the fundraising. We are extremely proud of what the team has achieved."
More than £9,000 raised through the campaign will be shared equally between the three charities: Marie Curie, which provides expert care and support for people living with terminal illness and their families; Children's Heartbeat Trust, which supports children and young people living with heart disease and their families; and The Little Princess Trust, which provides free real-hair wigs for children and young people while also funding childhood cancer research.
