MDS was delighted to welcome 6th Class pupils from Scoil Bhríde NS, Mullaghrafferty for a factory tour and hands-on virtual welding experience. The visit was part of the team’s ongoing commitment to engage with local schools and inspire the next generation of engineers. The pupils’ enthusiasm was infectious, and the experience offered an opportunity to showcase how a local business like MDS is making an impact on the global stage. By connecting classroom learning with real-world applications, the MDS team hopes to spark curiosity and open doors to future careers in engineering. | ![]() |

In response, Enda Duffy, Maintenance Technician, led the setup of the Bottle Re-Turn Deposit Scheme on site. Since its launch in June, the initiative has raised €145.85 for the school, with support from O'Gorman's SuperValu Kingscourt. As MDS continues to innovate and grow, the team looks forward to seeing some of these young visitors return one day—not as guests, but as future engineers helping shape the future of our industry! |
