New CTT 222-10 Flat Top Tower Crane Unveiled

The new CTT 222-10 is the newest in the line of city class flat top cranes that is to be offered by Terex Tower Cranes. The flat top tower crane is one that must be versatile as it works in a wide variety of job sites. “City class” refers to the design feature of the crane that ensures it is the best option for use within city settings, and this is the adaptability of the crane. Specifically, this refers to the premium design features such as:

  • Terex Power Plus (TPP) – a design feature that enables the crane to up the power by 10% when needed.
  • Terex Power Match (TPM) – an economic addition to this fleet of cranes, this puts the crane into an energy saving mode.

  • And very important the T-Torque – the Terex slewing technology that gives better control and increased precision over the crane slewing, including customizable settings, no matter the wind direction, tower system and jib configuration. This allows for extremely accurate control giving the operator complete personalization to how these controls are set up allowing for optimal control according to the operator themselves.

These features allow the crane to perform as required in whatever setting it is used. Not only does the CTT 222-10 have these incredible features but it also can be easily set up and erected with a 1.60m, 1.95m or 2.10m tower mast depending on the needs and requirements of the user and setting it’s in. This not only proves the versatility of the crane, but also the helps to balance the investment in this machine.

This particular model is fitted with the industry-known S-pace cabin giving optimal comfort and visibility for the operator. Wide glass panels, protected by side bars, ensure excellent visibility; multifunction joysticks and the 7’’ touch screen color display provide simplified crane control and monitoring. The adjustable slewing seat and built-in heating and air conditioning system keep operators comfortable, productive and focused on their work to maintain safety. This model has a 10t maximum capacity and a maximum jib length of 65m, a maximum free-standing height (C25) is 54.35m, 72.95m and 67.85m (respective of the aforementioned tower mast lengths of 1.60m, 1.95m and 2.10m)

The CTT 222-10 is a model that Terex Cranes is one that is set to increase the current city class offering and Angelo Cosmo, Terex Cranes Senior Marketing Manager had this to say, “We are excited about this new model that will enlarge our offering in a key capacity class; this will help us to even better support our customers with many residential, commercial but also infrastructures projects”

Lee Maynard, Global Sales Director – Tower Cranes adds “This new model has already attracted a lot of attention and our first TEN cranes will be shipping to France in the fourth quarter of this year. We are already filling the order book for quarter one next year, with more units planned to ship to France and other parts of Europe. It seems the CTT222 is the right model, at the right time and in front of our competition! We must capitalize on this head start. It’s an exciting time and there are further models planned in this mid-size range early in 2023”
