Terex Omagh takes part in the Big Shops’ Showdown raising £3,339 for Cancer Focus NI. The 2019 Big Shops’ Showdown, organised by Business in the Community on behalf of Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, saw a collective £65,084 raised by ten Northern Ireland companies. The challenge sees teams of business volunteers take over the running of one of Cancer Focus NI’s charity shops for a day in April, following fundraising and stock collections in the run up to the day itself. Terex took over running the Newtownstewart store and raised £3,339.

You may be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Schutsekama Diamond Mine on the Riet River near the village of Ritchie, which lies south of Kimberley. It is not a mine where the skyline is dominated by a shaft tower. Here in fact, the only raised portion shows four large red mobile Finlay Screens processing a constant stream of rock, gravel and sand that is separated onto different moving belts which spew the material into heaps.
