Meet Stephen 'Swampy' Marsh, Service Transformation Coordinator (Eagle Farm)

  • How long have you worked for the company? I have worked for Franna for 33.5 years
  • What position(s) have you held during your service? 1988-2003 Boiler Maker/Fabrication/Production assembly line/Line Team Leader / R&D, 2003-2004 Service Workshop Supervisor, 2004-2008 Local, interstate & Overseas field Service Work, 2008-2009 Service Leading Hand, 2009-2010 Service Job Coster, 2010-2011 Service Team Leader, 2011-2018 Service Supervisor/Manager, 2018-Present Service Transformation Coordinator.
  • Favourite thing about your job? The people I work with and being able to make improvements small and large for all teams at work.
  • How do you like to spend your time outside of work? A lot of hobbies - large aquariums, large fur baby, fishing, camping, 4X4ing, hunting, competition shooting, motorcycle cruising, cooking in general, BBQ, grilling, rotisserie & smoking meat/veg.
  • Best memory of working at Franna? Early 2000’s the first time ever leaving Australian shores - working in the field internationally for eight weeks in Asia, overcoming the unknown, remote locations, heat and humidity, language barriers, local travel, local customs, local food, sourcing tools & equipment to conduct work, building a local team to support with repairs. After completing the eight weeks I was completely exhausted physically, mentally and looking forward to my break at home with my family. While there has been many highlights in my career working at Franna, this event of thinking on the fly and outside the box, filling gaps, learning and applying skill sets needed to get the job done was only the first of several trips, however the first trip was the most exhilarating and memorable looking back.
