New General Manager Appointed For Cranes Americas

We are glad to announce the appointment of Andreas Ernst to the position of General Manager Cranes, Americas effective from January 25th, 2021.

I am very pleased that Andreas Ernst has joined Terex Cranes as General Manager for Americas, bringing his experience in leading successful teams with a strong customer focus. This represents another meaningful step forward in our strategy of investing in our Tower and Rough Terrain Cranes businesses with a specific focus on the American market” points out Marco Gentilini.

Andreas will be based in Wilmington, North Carolina office and will assume responsibility for the Terex Rough Terrain, Tower Crane and Pick and Carry business across the Americas region, including sales, service and business development.

Andreas joins Terex from Steinert, where he was President of the North American region for almost 3 years, providing a range of sorting systems to the scrap, recycling and mining industry.   Prior to that Andreas had a long career with Sennebogen, selling and marketing Material Handling products across the Americas. Andreas began his career in Germany in Sales and Marketing, moving to the US in 2006.

Andreas says, “I am excited to join Terex Cranes Americas, a company that embodies my core values - putting the customer first, always keeping your word and supporting passion, diversity and real innovation. Together with the impressing support team in Wilmington, NC and other Terex locations we are continuing to develop an increased focus on individual needs of specific industry sectors within the crane market segment. It’s a large adventure which will require a lot of investment and resources, which Terex has proven they are willing to put forward.”

In summary, Andreas brings a wealth of experience in the global machinery industry, both in developing strategic relationships and creating successful marketing and servicing strategies.

Andreas’s appointment represents the next stage in Terex Cranes growth strategy with renewed focus on the Americas market.
