NOTIZIE E STORIE

RT Cranes Performing at Southern African Port Jetties

Concord Cranes Group, a major crane hire company in Southern Africa, has selected two Terex TRT 35 rough terrain cranes from Terex distributor Goscor Access Solutions.

Celebrating its 10th year in business, Concord Cranes Namibia has an established presence with branches in Okahandja, Walvis Bay and Lüderitz.  They have remarkably tripled the size of its crane fleet during their 10 years in business and have become the preferred supplier of cranes, access platforms, lift trucks and project work in Namibia.

The first 35-ton capacity crane was delivered to Walvis Bay in Namibia and is already hard at work. Speaking of its suitability to for port jetties across their local market, Francois Smith of Concord Cranes says, “The Terex TRT 35 was selected for its compact size and manoeuvrability, which is needed to access confined spaces on port jetties. The crane is used extensively in the food industry, offloading fish from fishing vessels to the processing plant, which requires accuracy, high safety standards, speed, and reliability—which the Terex TRT35 provides with ease.”

The TRT 35 is a flexible yet durable off-road crane with a maximum capacity of 35t, boom length of 30.1m and additional jib extension of 8m. As well as the intuitive TEOS control system that improves safety, usability, efficiency of navigation, operation, and information flow, the TRT 35 has compact dimensions, either fixed, modular, or removable counterweight, proportional telescopic boom, full power and comes equipped for T-Link telematics. Its synchronised, four-section boom that gives operators excellent lifting performance while its four steering options ensure smooth manoeuvrability.

Adding to its versatility, the TRT 35 has Powershift (permanent four-wheel drive) with two modes to satisfy operators driving style: manual mode with three speeds forward and three speeds reverse, and automatic mode with five speeds forward and three speeds reverse.

Goscor Access Solutions is one of the latest distributors to have joined the Terex Rough Terrain global network, having announced their partnership at Bauma 2022 in Munich, Germany. The Company has a well-established footprint in South Africa, with branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, and Port Elizabeth, capable of delivering machines anywhere mainly on the Southern African continent. As part of the Bud Group, Goscor Access Solutions has impressive reach, being able to use the Bud Group branches in Mozambique, Ghana, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland.

Terex RT Sales Manager, Guillaume Bertrand says, “Goscor Access Solutions are already proving themselves as the best partner we could work with in South Africa. The region is a critical market for us and not only do Goscor Access Solutions have a very good knowledge of the lifting industry, but they also have a huge footprint in the countries they are responsible for with a strong focus on service. We are delighted to see our cranes performing across Namibia with a company as prestigious as Concord Cranes Group and look forward to continued growth in this market.”
