The newest addition from Franna has arrived! An all new 25t spreader bar option is now available for the MAC 25 and AT 40. This innovative attachment has been designed to provide a higher capacity rigging solution, increasing the versatility of our larger machines, while maintaining ease of transport and operation.

Mike Atherden, Principal Engineer at Franna states “The addition of the 25t spreader bar represents yet another step forward for Franna. By adding this additional feature to our current Franna MAC 25 an AT 40 machines, we have extended the capability of already great machines to do even more, and we are very excited to bring this option to the market.”

Key operational benefits include:

• 25t lifting capacity as a spreader bar
• Retains lifting beam operation and capacities from industry standard 15t spreader
• Up to 120 degree upper sling angle to help reduce boom head height
• Fits both MAC 25 and AT 40 standard mountings, as well as MAC 25 deck mount system
• Telescopic design for rigging flexibility

Mike continues, “The 25t spreader project was born from demand from our AT 40 customers, who felt the existing 15 t spreader bar didn’t match the capability of the machine. We listened, we delivered.”

“One of the key challenges we placed on ourselves was to maximise its versatility and applicability. We wanted to retain the ease of transport and use of the ‘tried and true’ 15t bar, make it compatible with both MAC 25 and AT 40, while delivering additional capacity. The challenge drove a change in design thinking to eliminate the bending load seen in our existing design, allowing us to increase the performance of the new bar, for a minimal increase in weight and form factor.” 

The AT 40 has a lifting capacity of 40t and offers maximum safety, excellent roadability, intuitive operation and unmatched versatility. The newest model in the range has now over 100 machines operating in the field and is proving to be a new customer favourite.
