Franna to Sell and Support Terex Rough Terrains in Australian Market

Franna is pleased to commence distribution and support of world-leading Terex Rough Terrain Cranes for the Australian market.

Known for their off-road capabilities, excellent ground clearance and up to four steering modes, Terex Rough Terrain cranes can be positioned across a variety of rugged terrains. The product range, manufactured in Italy, is a natural extension of the Franna product offering to customers in specialist markets where needs and requirements are often project based.

“Terex Rough Terrain cranes give the Australian market another credible option of a quality rough terrain crane, which is backed by the substantial Franna network of sales and aftermarket support, for which our customers recognise and appreciate,” said Andrew Pritchard, Franna Sales Director, Franna. “That, along with the crane’s flexibility, durable construction and low cost of ownership, will make Terex Rough Terrain Cranes an easy choice for day-in-day-out lifting across Australia.”

Terex Rough Terrain Cranes offer a complete product line, with models from 35 – 90 tonne and plans to extend the range to give customers higher lifting capacities in the future. The new TRT line also comes with the latest technology including full power boom, T-Link telematics and the new TEOS control system that has an intuitive interface with improved information flow and accessibility to increase operating efficiency. While Franna will stock the 90 tonne TRT90 to match the needs of the core Australian rough terrain market, customers will have the option to purchase from the complete range as required.

To ensure premium levels of support to both the product and customers in the field, Franna sales, service, and product support team members from across Australia took part in intensive training led by Terex Rough Terrain Cranes Italy.

The training included an overview of Terex Italia (home of Terex Rough Terrain cranes), previous generation models and LMI systems, current Terex Rough Terrain offering (including features and benefits of the models). The training paid particular attention to the TRT90 model, which will be the core Franna offering, along with its new TEOS LMI system operation and programming, hydraulic and electrical circuits, boom system, removable counterweight operation, fly jib fitting, service, and maintenance.

Andrew continued, “The training was a great opportunity to deeply enhance our knowledge on Terex Rough Terrain cranes. We were pleasantly surprised at how efficient and easy to use the TRT range is, and the TEOS and TLINK technology is also impressive. We have held open days for our customers and have received some significant positive feedback, which is encouraging. We look forward to working with Terex Rough Terrain cranes to strengthen its presence across Australia.”
