Terex Recycling Systems Celebrates One Year of Operations

Here at Terex Recycling Systems (TRS) we have just celebrated our 1st birthday! What a year it’s been for TRS and there have been many highlights and milestones that we have hit in the last 12 months.

Our first project is already well and truly underway, with our UK dealer having successfully completed phase 1 of the upgrade to Collard Group’s Reading facility. More recently Collard Group decided to order additional modules from Terex & Molson to make this a complete turnkey solution supplied by Terex Recycling Systems. Phase 2 of the project is planned for early 2023. The upgrade will increase the sites production capacity as well as improve their recovery efficiencies, helping divert more waste from landfill.

Why not have a look at the video below of the TPS-120 Picking Station leaving Farlough.

Production for the install really ramped up over the last few months with the team at Farlough who worked hard to prepare various modules. These were then transported to Reading as part of “Phase 1” of the install. This included the TCS-716 Vibrating Screen, TES-150 Eddy Current Separator, TWF-412 Waste Feeder and TWC-120 Modular Waste Conveyor.

Images of these can be seen below.

Tony Devlin, Business Line Director for Terex Recycling Systems had this to say, “To secure our first order for Terex Recycling Systems is a major milestone in the growth of this new brand, and for this to develop from a partial upgrade to a complete plant is a further vote of confidence. This will be a good reference point to build our success from.”

The dealer network that has been built in this relatively short space of time is a source of pride for the team at TRS. To create a dealer network spanning seven countries within 12 months is a monumental achievement us, with five authorised dealers in Molson Group, Warwick Ward, QRS, Finlay Waste & Recycling and Kivisampo utilising their own expertise to help sell TRS plants/standalone modules to their customers, it is a network that is sure to grow once they get a taste of the high-quality plant and top-level service offered by Terex and TRS.

Terex Recycling systems have not only grown their product offering and dealer network over the last year, but the team that is behind the brand too. We have an Environmental Business Line Director, Product & Commercial Manager, a newly appointed Regional Sales Manager and Sales Support Co-Ordinator, along with two Senior Design Engineers, a Design Engineer and an Electrical Engineer. The growth achieved in this first year would not be possible without the efforts of this fantastic team.

Keep an eye out on the TRS social channels for 'TRS Team Tuesdays' that are posted every so often celebrating the team members. This gives a great insight into the people behind Terex Recycling Systems on a professional and personal level.

Communicating the successes and raising brand awareness is another key element to success for TRS. This includes keeping active social media channels and we encourage everyone to follow and like these to help us continue to share these successes and stories online. Another resource that TRS have been getting involved with over the last year are exhibitions. TRS have made a point to show presence at a few exhibitions to help grow their customer and dealer base. The first of the year that was attended was IFAT, Germany at the end of May 2022. This event was such a success that at the end of September they decided to exhibit at IFAT, India in Mumbai. The ever-growing dealer network builds into this with Irish dealer QRS exhibiting on behalf of TRS at Northern Ireland’s Waste and Resource Management Conference and in September UK dealers Warwick Ward represented TRS at Lets Recycle Live - RWM in Birmingham. The nature of the relationship already with TRS and their dealers is evident with TRS being represented by their dealers at these exhibitions, these relationships are key for growth.

Kenny Hull, Commercial Product Manager, TRS commented on this by saying, “The first project has been a massive team effort from all parts of the business, from engineering, procurement, manufacturing and logistics, as well as our Dealer helping the project delivery run smoothly despite the ongoing challenges in supply chain and resources, every team member should take pride in the part they played in the success of this project.”
