Terex TRT 35 Working on Hungarian Condominium Project
Major Hungarian construction company Aqua General is using a TRT 35 Rough Terrain Crane to support construction of 30 new apartments in the heart of Hajdúszoboszló, Hungary.
The project, currently under construction with delivery anticipated to be later this year, will complete practically designed apartments within 15 minutes’ walk from all major residential services, while also within 500 metres of one of the largest spa complexes in Europe.
The TRT 35 was chosen for its quality, reliability, and productivity on site. Stephan Wijkmans, Regional Sales Manager, Terex RT Cranes explains “The TRT 35 is a flexible, yet durable off-road crane. As well as the intuitive TEOS control system, this crane has compact dimensions, proportional telescopic boom, full power and come equipped for T-Link telematics platform allowing geo localization and remote diagnostics.”
The TRT 35 is a 35-t rough terrain crane with a synchronised, four-section boom that gives the operator the best lifting performance, regardless of the boom length. With a machine width of only 2.5m, the crane can be easily manoeuvred, even on congested job sites with narrow or confined areas. Manoeuvrability is also enhanced by having four steering options. The TRT 35 is equipped with a Cummins 4-cylinder engine, bringing high power and optimised consumption, thanks also to the Eco Mode function. The TRT 35 is compatible with Cummins QSB4.5 Stage IIIA - Tier 3, Cummins QSB4.5 Stage 5 - Tier 4F to meet different regional needs.
Adding to its versatility, the TRT 35 has Powershift (permanent four-wheel drive) with two modes to satisfy operators driving style: manual mode with three speeds forward and three speeds reverse, and automatic mode with five speeds forward and three speeds reverse.
Terex T-Link telematics, which provides customers with real time information on the performance of their crane comes as standard on the TRT 35, along with LED lights, and further options available include; lattice type jib, side stowable (8m), radio remote controller, auxiliary winch with same performance of the standard winch, outrigger control from the carrier, anemometer and cameras that are embedded within the 10-inch touchscreen display (so that the operator can watch directly from the TEOS display).
Stephan Wijkmans continues, “Aqua General have an excellent reputation that undertakes the operation from design, through licensing, through construction, considering the customer's expectations and helping them find the most optimal economic and technical solutions. We were pleased to support Aqua General from the early planning stages and the selection of TRT 35 has proven to be successful—it is performing well, meeting all job requirements for efficient operation with minimal logistics and mobilisation costs.”
