Informazioni sulle gru a torre Terex

New Terex CTT 172-8 Flat Top Tower Crane

Terex Cranes presents the new 8 t (8.8 US ton) class CTT 172-8 flat top tower crane. This new Terex crane features increased jobsite versatility and performances, thanks to the improvement of new features and technologies.

“With this new Terex CTT 172-8 tower crane model, we are launching a crane which is very flexible and easily maneuverable. Our primary focus is always to develop an efficient and versatile crane that gives our customers the best return on investment,” says Nicola Castenetto, Business Development Manager for Terex Tower Cranes. “Beyond targeting to an outstanding product performance, we focused on developing solutions to improve usability on jobsite.”

The jib can vary its length from 25 to 65 m (82 to 213 ft) and is built on modular sections of 5 m increments. The load chart of CTT 172-8 is extremely competitive, being able to deliver a maximum 8 t (8.8 US ton) and up to a 1.71 t (1.88 US ton) load at the maximum 65 m (213 ft) jib length. Terex Cranes’ Terex Power Plus (TPP) function will temporarily allow for an increase of the lifting capacity by approx. 10%, giving the operator extra lifting capacity just at the touch of a button.

Operators will feel they are in the lap of luxury in the new CTT 172-8. The ergonomic S-Pace cab with wide glass surface, air conditioning system and fully adjustable seat provides the comfort required for a work experience throughout long shifts. The Operator has full and easy control of the crane thanks to the multifunction joystick controls with short stroke length and large full-color 7’’ touch screen display.

The crane is equipped with advanced electronic controls, featuring, beside Terex Power Plus function, also the Easy Setup, the Terex Power Match, and is ready for Anti-Collision and Zoning systems.

Hoist, slewing and trolley speeds are designed so operators can move and position heavy loads efficiently and precisely. The crane’s new control system features expanded configuration options, allowing the CTT 172-8 to efficiently and quickly adapt to different jobsite needs.

The new Terex Slewingtechnology enhances the control of the crane on the varying job sites conditions, adjusting the responsiveness of the crane to the operator preferences or e.g. to wind conditions, fine-tuning the speeds, the acceleration and the counter-manoeuvre.
The model offers three chassis options, budget to performance, with 3.8 m (12.5 ft), 4.5 m (14.8 ft) and 6 m (19.7 ft) base selections. The new crane can be configured with TS21 and TS16 masts, from 1.6 to 2.1 m (5.2 to 6.9 ft) widths, so customers can efficiently manage component inventory while cost-effectively meeting tower height needs. Depending on tower and chassis configuration, the new CTT 172-8 crane delivers a maximum free-standing under hook height up to 73 m (239 ft, C25); furthermore, external and internal climbing systems are also available to reach higher heights.

Optimized for transport, all tower segments come preassembled with durable aluminum ladders for efficient erection. Each jib section features an independent lifeline to aid with safe work at height installation, and the galvanized jib walkways deliver increased operating longevity.

The crane can be equipped with optional T-Link Platform for remote control of crane fleet data anytime and from anywhere via web, to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.  A wide range of real time data and a variety of analysis are visualized to assess the fleet’s performance.
