NEW in the Fuchs Portfolio: The SWS 400 – the Trommel Screen for Performance Without Compromise
The new Fuchs SWS 400, our innovative trommel screen solution designed for the demanding scrap and metal recycling industry. This trommel screen has been specifically designed to tackle one of the industry’s greatest challenges: the efficient and reliable processing of contaminated scrap materials.
The SWS 400 fills a crucial gap in the market where conventional recycling trommels and scalpers reach their limits. With its robust design and advanced features, the machine is built for heavy-duty continuous operation, delivering exceptional durability and efficiency.

Powerful Features for the Toughest Applications
The Scrapmaster SWS 400 comes equipped with a wear-resistant push feeder capable of handling even the most abrasive materials. A particularly sturdy drum frame allows the use of various screen sizes ranging from 25 mm to 150 mm (1” to 6”). This is complemented by an apron-style oversize conveyor and a three-layer fine material conveyor that ensures consistent performance even under the most demanding conditions.
Efficiency Meets Flexibility
With its auto-reverse function and adjustable drum speed, the SWS 400 can be perfectly adapted to different material flows. These features, combined with its outstanding reliability, make the Scrapmaster an essential solution for recycling companies aiming to increase process efficiency while enhancing operational safety.
A New Benchmark in Recycling
“With the Scrapmaster SWS 400, we’re setting a new standard in scrap and metal processing. Our customers get a machine that’s precisely tailored to the needs of the industry and performs reliably even under the toughest conditions,” says Dominik Vierkotten, Vice President Material Handling and Lifting.
