Tower Cranes Supporting Residential and School Construction

SNM Cranes, French specialist in the sale and maintenance of cranes, is delivering and assembling 10 Terex CTT 222-10 (city class flat top cranes) for LOGA—a family-owned tower crane rental company based in Porcheville, Paris. The cranes are being used in Paris and in the south of France region for various construction residential and school projects, with SNM providing service through its technicians and agencies in Nantes, Lyon, and Paris.

Nicolas Guillaud, Sales Manager SNM said, “The CTT222-10 is unique in this range and more powerful than its competitors with a great height of autonomy, even on its C38 3.8m base., Terex also offers a C45 4.5m base, which is an obvious choice for  our customers on the French Riviera and Corsica who can be confronted with strong winds and difficult weather conditions. The assembly is simple and flexible—in its standard configuration, the crane can be erected in one day. Easy to use, the operator benefits from the best comfort, and can adapt the crane according to his preferences, by setting his preferred parameters: speed, high precision, slowing down, flexibility. What’s more, the crane is guaranteed for 24 months and we believe without a doubt that it has the best power/price ratio on the market.”

The CTT 222-10 is a versatile, flat top tower crane, capable for a variety of job sites with design features particularly suited to city settings. It can be easily set up and erected with a 1.60m, 1.95m or 2.10m tower mast, depending on the needs and requirements of the user and job setting. This model has a 10t maximum capacity and a maximum jib length of 65m, a maximum free-standing height (C25) is 54.35m, 72.95m and 67.85m (respective of the tower mast lengths).

Fitted with industry-known ‘S-pace cabin’ provides optimal comfort and visibility for the operator. Wide glass panels, protected by side bars, ensure excellent visibility, multifunction joysticks and the 7’’ touchscreen colour display provides intuitive crane control and monitoring. The adjustable slewing seat and built-in heating and air conditioning system keep operators comfortable, productive, and focused on their work to maintain safety.

Additionally, the Terex range of flat top tower cranes come with premium design features such as Terex Power Plus (a design feature that enables the crane to up the power by 10% when needed), Terex Power Match (an economic addition that can put the crane into an energy saving mode) and T-Link (telematics that enables remote access to the fleet data at any time). Finally, the CTT 222-10 benefits from T-Torque – the Terex slewing technology that gives better control and increased precision over the crane slewing, including customizable settings, no matter the wind direction, tower system and jib configuration. This allows for extremely accurate control giving the operator complete personalization to how these controls are set up allowing for optimal control according to the operator themselves.

Ella Gaffuri from Loga commented, “The CTT222 is a versatile, high-performance crane that enables us to offer bespoke solutions to our clients. The ability to combine a 3.8m base with the crane’s unique load chart is a crucial selling point for us when it comes to navigating the specificities of construction sites in the Parisian region.

We are very much looking forward to continuing our partnership and working closely with SNM and Terex over the coming years.”

Lee Maynard, Global Sales Director – Tower Cranes adds, “The new CTT 222-10 is proving to be a popular model, having attracted a lot of attention since it was launched at the end of last year. We are delighted with this substantial order, and furthermore, SNM Cranes’ feedback on the CTT 222-10, in terms of ease of use and assembly. With nearly forty years’ experience in the lifting and handling equipment industries, SNM Cranes is a great partner to have in France, offering our customers with knowledgeable, professional service and aftersales support”.
