As part of Engineering week we recently welcomed 25 enthusiastic Year 12 students from St Patrick's College Dungannon, who experienced an informative visit designed to showcase the many facets of engineering in the real world.
The day kicked off with a site tour, giving the students an up-close look at the operations. Following this, everyone enjoyed a modelling walk-through, where they could see how designs are brought to life and the different stages of project development.
One of the highlights was the use of VR headsets, allowing students to virtually explore equipment and immerse themselves in the technical side of engineering.
We wrapped up with a visit to the water treatment lab, where students observed practical applications and learned about the science behind water Treatment and the processing of different materials.
It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to see engineering in action and ask questions along the way.
