Auger Barrel Tools
Designed for cutting a small track into the rock, the core barrel series holds the core out of the hole for easy removal and cleanup. Specifically designed for situations when a flighted auger will not cut the rock, this core barrel series allows for easy storage and can be carried on the boom the same as a regular Digger Derrick auger.
Auger Teeth & Blocks
Terex Auger teeth and blocks have a unique cutting pattern that allows each tooth to cut a small track efficiently. Our cut pattern and tooth attack angle combine to allow the teeth to penetrate through and lift up fractured or broken material. To fit the correct tooth of block to your unique job site, check out our specially-designed line of auger teeth and blocks below.
Hollow Kelly Bars
The Terex Hollow Kelly Bar is specially designed to be a versatile, time-saving tool for operators. This design allows the screw anchor to be inserted directly into the kelly bar and eliminates the need for a heavy screw anchor adapter - saving time and increasing productivity. Choosing the Right Auger Tooling for Your Digger Derrick
To get the best performance out of your digger derrick, it is important to choose the right auger tooling for the job. Tools are interchangeable between different OEMs, but that doesn’t mean that all tools are created equal. Terex is the only manufacturer of digger derricks that also manufactures tooling, designed for maximum productivity and efficiency. When choosing the right tool for the job, selection factors include auger style tools or barrel tools, various types of teeth, and multiple tool sizes.
Bullet Tooth Removal and Installation
Properly switching out your Terex Auger Bullet Teeth is important for adapting to your job site soil conditions as well as ensuring you do not have damaged or missing auger teeth while performing your walk-around inspection. As you visually inspect all auger attachment fasteners and the condition of your auger teeth before use, you can properly switch out your teeth using the Tech Tip from our Terex Service Team.
Performing Frequent and Annual Inspections
For ANSI standards and to ensure the longevity of your unit, it's important to perform frequent and annual inspections. To perform an inspection of your Auger Drills or of your Digger Derrick - including the torque, condition and installation of your auger tool and teeth, we have some walk-through inspection checklists available on our website.
