Workshops

Terex Utilities Workshops are designed to educate technicians on maintaining and repairing specific pieces of Terex equipment.

Terex Utilities Workshops

 

Whether it is digger derrick, distribution aerial, or a TM series repair, Terex Utilities Workshops provide valuable factory training for technicians. The workshops are conducted in a shop environment bringing the classroom, parts examples, and the unit together to create an in-depth, interactive experience. Both the Distribution Aerial and Digger Derrick Workshops cover 3 days of training, the TM Workshop spans 4 days. Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 10 spots.


All of the Workshops will take place at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, SD.

Distribution Aerial (3 Days)


Examples of the hands-on tasks performed during the aerial workshops:

 

  • Flow test a pump
  • Performing periodic inspections
  • Troubleshoot PTO, interlock and leveling issues
  • Take apart and reassemble a valve or cylinder
  • Inspect fiberglass for damage
  • Verify holding valve settings

Distribution Aerial Workshop - $1500 per seat

Digger Derrick (3 Days)


Examples of the hands-on tasks performed during the digger derrick workshops:

 

  • Understanding and using load charts
  • Cylinder drift testing
  • Troubleshoot PTO and interlock issues
  • Identify critical welds
  • Set boom HOP
  • Bleed and set rotation HOP
  • Flow test a digger head
  • Change out a digger spring

TM Series (4 Days)

  • Deep dive into the hydraulic system
  • Understanding schematics and symbols
  • Checking pressures
  • Test and adjust on center limit systems
  • Electrical schematics
  • Fiber optic terminations
  • Setting zero on TM leveling controller
  • Leveling gearbox inspection
