Transportes Noroccidental adds four Terex RT 100US rough terrain cranes

ZWEIBRÜCKEN – August 16, 2018 – Seeking cranes that excel in Ecuador’s challenging oil region, Transportes Noroccidental has added four new Terex® RT 100US rough terrain cranes to its fleet. Transportes Noroccidental chose this particular model because of the Terex RT 100US crane’s impressive load capacities compared to similar sized units and the responsive service support the company receives from the local Terex distributor.

“We own several Terex crane models and are happy with the performance and durability of these machines,” explained Edgar Fabian Andrade, CEO of Transportes Noroccidental. “Terex is a globally-recognized crane company that builds quality and versatile machinery that helps our team get work done. And, when we need service, our distributor, Trex, always responds promptly so we can stay on deadline.”

With a 100-US ton (90 metric tonne) capacity and a five section, full hydraulic boom that extends to 154 feet (47 m), the Terex RT 100US rough terrain crane is more than capable of assembling and disassembling drilling rigs in the Ecuadorian oil region. “The four cranes are perfectly designed for the job because of their mobility on rough surfaces and operational speed,” added Andrade.

The four Terex RT 100US also feature the IC-1 control system, which offers efficient and intuitive touchscreen operation for ease of use and advanced diagnostics for ease of service. Electro-proportional joysticks, an integrated system design and four steering modes, including two-wheel, four-wheel, crab and independent rear axle steering, provide the operator with precise control and the ability to easily position the machine.

Transportes Noroccidental has already deployed the four Terex RT 100US cranes into its oil field operations and is looking forward to a long, productive life from each of them.
