CASE STUDY: NO CONTRACTOR WOULD TAKE THE JOB

EvoQuip Bison 280 & Colt 1000

EvoQuip dealer in Australia, Mineral Processing Solutions recently came up with a solution for a local council when no other contractor was able to help. Read more below:

The problem:

The Shire Council in New South Wales is responsible for maintaining the local infrastructure in the area, including roads. However, they faced a significant challenge when they experienced flooding and extensive road damage in their area. The floods caused severe damage to the roads, particularly in isolated and high terrain areas. To repair these roads, the Council needed a product on the ground quickly.

The Council usually sourced a crushing contractor to process their aggregate in isolated Shire-owned quarries. However, no contractor was willing to take on the contract due to the set-up times versus the product to be processed and the location of the quarries that were difficult to access due to terrain and road conditions. As a result, the Council faced a Significant problem, and they needed a solution as quickly as possible.

The Solution:

After considering several options, the Shire Council in New South Wales reached out to MPS for help. The Council was looking for equipment that could handle the isolated terrain and still make the TPH required to repair the roads quickly. MPS's equipment was a great fit for the Council's needs. Our equipment was not only compact, but it was also easy to transport, requiring only one float, and could be roll-on and roll-off the float and put in action immediately.

MPS recommended the compact EvoQuip gear, which proved to be an ideal solution for the Council's problem. The equipment was small enough to access the quarries' difficult terrain and road conditions, and it had high TPH rates. The EvoQuip gear could crush the aggregate efficiently in an isolated environment, making it perfect for the Council's needs.

The outcome:

When the council began crushing, they faced a few challenges. The Jaw opening was too wide, and they were getting too much oversized material during screening. The MPS team stepped up and assisted by adjusting the Jaw's electronic function. With this change, they achieved what the customers desired outcome with very little oversize left to process.

MPS's solution was cost-effective, efficient, and eco-friendly, and the compact EvoQuip gear was perfect for the job. The council was pleased with MPS's service from the beginning to the end of the project, and even the sceptical Excavator Operator was happy with the results.

The project was a success, despite difficult terrain and road conditions, and MPS's equipment and expertise provided an efficient and cost-effective solution. This project shows how MPS can handle tough problems and provide solutions that work well.
