This year the ’Finlay Family’ proudly celebrate our 65th anniversary!

Finlay Hydrascreen was founded in 1958 by Co. Tyrone engineering entrepreneur, John Finlay.  John was an entrepreneur, visionary and engineering genius. He owned several engineering businesses as well as his own quarries.

John recognised the opportunity for mobile screening equipment when operating his own quarry. He was granted his first patent for screening technology in 1958 and very quickly designed and launched the first mobile screener (Hydrascreen).

No business ever lasted 65 years by building the same products, going to market in the same way or following the same processes. Our business has evolved and so too has our product range. However, what does remain the same is the ‘Finlay Family’ culture that John created and nurtured. Now, under Terex, those values are embedded into the ethos of Finlay and our team members around the world. We continue to be customer focused and responsive in everything we do. By making the customer our top priority, we plan on being here for the next 65 years and beyond!!
