Terex Washing Systems Debut At Hillhead 2014 With Spectacular Double Bill

THURSDAY 17TH JULY, DUNGANNON, NORTHERN IRELAND – The spotlight was firmly on Terex Washing Systems (TWS) at the recent Hillhead Show, Buxton, UK, as they made their debut at the world’s largest working quarry show. The 2014 Hillhead exhibition proved to be a major success for TWS due to the tremendous interest in its products. The show provided the stage for the world premiere of the Terex® AggreScrub™ 150 washing unit, the new larger Terex® AggreSand ™ 206 washing system as well as showcasing the AggreSand™ 165 wash plant.

TWS Director, Sean Loughran, commented, “The reaction and interest to TWS products and our stand presence was simply overwhelming. The flow of traffic onto the stand was incredible throughout the three days. We had the opportunity to meet with existing satisfied customers, prospective new customers, as well as many of our distributors from around the world. We were delighted to receive a large number of orders throughout the show, which is testament to our commitment to providing enhanced and unique washing solutions to meet customers’ needs and demands.” Loughran went on to say, “There is an evident economic recovery taking place with a renewed confidence in the industry. Since returning from the show, we have received further orders as well as being inundated with enquiries. We look forward to providing more aggregate washing solutions for our customers around the world”.

World Premiere of New High Attrition Scrubbing

The impressive AggreScrub™ 150 was officially launched and unveiled at Hillhead. This impressive plant is designed to operate both as a stand-alone unit as well as having the ability to seamlessly integrate with the AggreSand™. The AggreScrub™ 150 is designed to deal with stubborn clay bound material which cannot be removed by rinsing or screening alone, making this plant an efficient and effective solution. Central to the development of this new plant was modular design, serviceability and functionality, making it quick and easy to set-up and easy to maintain. The plant also includes a range of innovative features including the web frame chassis design which is easily assembled and is complimentary to the AggreSand™. The chassis supports the scrubbing hull, the 6’x2’ trash dewatering screen, the 12’x5’ two deck rinsing and sizing screen and has an integrated sump and pump. All walkways are fully galvanized and provide access to all areas of the plant.

3 Aggregates, 2 Sands, 1 Machine

TWS also showcased the Terex® Aggresand™ 206 wash plant at Hillhead it is the larger model of the recently launched AggreSand ™ 165 (up to 250tph) model and has greater capacity, up to 400tph, comprising of a 20x6 screen with two and three deck options. To date, TWS has installed multiple AggreSand™ 165 wash plants in Ireland, UK, parts of Eastern Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Austria. Customers are also finding it easier to secure planning and finance for these modular plants as opposed to traditional static set ups. This is due to the modularity design of the plant, which ensures ease of installation and ability to move to another site if required.

The AggreSand ™ 206 plant brings modern modular design features, increases productivity (up to 400tph), and shares all the unique features of the AggreSand™ 165 wash plant. Customers benefit from the unique design which includes full containerization of the machine for ease of transportation, rapid set-up time, pre-wired & pre-plumbed plug-and-play componentry, isolated spray bars and a HMI control system, which have been delivering efficient, productive performance for current owners. The level of serviceability within the AggreSand™ wash plant range is unrivalled within the industry with innovative features such as rolling chutes and rolling centrifugal pumps. TWS has also included sensors throughout the machine providing the operator with information on water pressure; cyclone feed pressure and electrical power consumption, making the operation and management of the machine highly efficient.

Just Add Water - Simple, Seamless Integration

Another unique benefit to customers is the ability of the Terex® AggreSand™ wash plant and Terex® Aggrescrub™ 150 plant to combine to provide the perfect solution for customers dealing with recycling applications as well as pit owners with high agglomerations of clay.  The innovative, intelligent and user-friendly control system on both plants allows full integration between the two systems through the connection of a single plug-and-play cable. Through this pioneering control system, seamless communication allows the plants to work as a single entity with all interlocks including start-up and shutdown sequences automatically synchronizing, which further reduces the amount of on-site installation and commissioning required. The AggreSand™ and AggreScrub™ combination washing system is set to become the benchmark in modular wash recycling plants for years to come.
