Terex Utilities recently released a video that demonstrates how distribution crews can easily install screw anchors. By using the Terex Utilities Hollow Kelly Bar instead of a traditional locking dog and square bars, digger derrick operators can shave minutes off the process for every screw anchor that needs to be installed.

The International Lineman’s Rodeo & Expo, held October 12-15, in Bonner Springs and Overland Park, Kan., is very much a family event. The best utility line workers from around the world come with spouses, children, and extended family to compete in apprentice and journeyman contests.

Terex Utilities announces that it has launched a new online resource for utility professionals, to connect them with expert information on using and maintaining aerial devices and digger derricks. Utility Pros delivers valuable, relevant and consistent content that covers parts and service, field operations, safety, applications, industry regulations, and more.

Equipment dealers, utilities, and utility contractors participated in hands-on service training for digger derricks and aerial devices at the Terex Utilities Service School held in June at the Lake Area Technical College facility. The three-day event was at capacity with 48 participants and a waiting list.

In addition, the company also announces the first nine customers who will receive these new Terex Optima 55 ft aerial devices, powered by the HyPowerTM SmartPTO by Viatec and mounted on an International® eMV chassis.

Terex Utilities announces that it will debut an industry first—an all-electric bucket truck on a Class 6/7 Medium Duty chassis in production and available now—at the Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference, June 5-8, in Williamsburg, Va. Deliveries of the Terex Optima 55 eMV Series begin in June.

The brand-new location in Atlanta was built-to-suit, offering full-service repair facilities, as well as inspections, preventative maintenance, transfers and rebuilds, and more. Terex Utilities team members from across the nation traveled to Watertown for the company’s annual sales team meeting March 14-16. While in Watertown, 45 employees teamed up and volunteered at two area non-profit organizations that serve area youth: Sleep In Heavenly Peace and Watertown Area People Against Child Hunger.

Terex Utilities displayed two popular aerial devices used for everyday transmission and distribution operations at two shows in early March. The Optima HR55 Overcenter aerial device and the TL48 articulating telescopic aerial device each featured innovations that aid operators or solve challenges for utility fleets owners.
