NCCCO Digger Derrick Certification
The Terex Utilities Digger Derrick Edge Operator Safety has been an industry leader for years providing your operators with the skills and knowledge they need to operate their Digger Derrick properly. With the release of the NCCCO Digger Derrick Certification, The Digger Derrick Edge has been completely revamped to ensure your operators have a solid understanding of the requirements set forth by ANSI and OSHA needed for the Digger Derrick examination.

2023 Digger Derrick Certification Event
Terex Utilities will offer a Digger Derrick Certification event August 15th-18th in conjunction with our annual hands-on event at our Watertown, SD facility. The course includes a review session followed by the written and practical exams.

Overview
The Digger Derrick Edge Operator Safety program covers the following general areas:
- General Guidelines
- Before Operation
- During Operation
- Electrical Hazards
- Emergency Operations
- Hand Signals
The classroom portion of the Digger Derrick Edge and the Edge final exam requires up to 12 hours to complete. To successfully pass the Edge final exam, the candidate must score a minimum of 85%. Following the exam, the instructor will go over the exam, answering questions and reinforcing the material with the students. The NCCCO written exam will then be administered during the afternoon of the second day.
Once the written portion of the NCCCO exam is complete, the candidates will spend the remainder of the afternoon getting familiar with the Digger Derrick used for the examination. Digger Derrick practical exams usually start the morning of the 3rd day of training. 7 to 8 candidates can be evaluated during a full day of testing.
